Sastamala Regional Museum was founded in 1932. Museum stores and presents the history of Sastamala Region. Visitors are served with exhibitions with changing themes and interesting events about local history. Participate and learn about our cultural heritage.
With the same admission ticket, visitors can see Pukstaavi, The Museum of Finnish Book , located on the same courtyard.
The museum has extensive photograph and local history archives, which are open to researchers by appointment. The cultural centre Jaatsi, where artist Akseli Gallén-Kallela was born, is located near the museum. Jaatsi hosts changing exhibitions and the town’s own art collections.
